Bound Off Short Story Introductory Podcast

Bound Off is a monthly magazine of literary short stories, founded in 2006 and based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Our mission is to merge the oral tradition of storytelling with new technology to create a digital audio magazine.
Bound Off is an independent, nonprofit organization committed to paying authors for their work. All staff are unpaid volunteers.
We aspire to showcase work that is compelling and driven by narrative, with a force that keeps the listener listening. We are dedicated to publishing stories by both the established and emerging writer.

Co-editor, co-founder, and board member Ann Rushton graduated with a degree in English at the University of Iowa and was a member of the Undergraduate Writer's Workshop. She lives in Iowa City and is a full-time writer. Read her published stories at annrushton.com/publishedstories.

Marcela Fuentes is a recent graduate of the Iowa Writers' Workshop. Her fiction has been published in the Indiana Review, the Vestal Review, Blackbird, and various other literary journals. Recent work has been selected for inclusion in Best of the Web 2009 and New Stories from the Southwest. She is at work on her first novel.
KJ Hannah Greenberg has been twice nominated for the Pushcart Prize. Books to her credit include: A Bank Robber's Bad Luck with His Ex-Girlfriend, Unbound CONTENT, 2011, full-length poetry; Oblivious to the Obvious: Wishfully Mindful Parenting, French Creek Press, 2010, humorous essays; Don't Pet the Sweaty Things, Bards & Sages Publishing, 2012, forthcoming, short fictions; Supernal Forces, The Camel Saloon Books on Blog, 2012, forthcoming, poetry chapbook.
Justyn Harkin lives with his wife and daughter in Chicago. He earned an MFA in writing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where he fell in love with short fiction, flash, and cross-genre experiments. He occasionally updates justynharkin.com.
